Woman injured, man dies after suffering ‘medical event’, crashing vehicle in Dover Township
YORK COUNTY, Pa. — UPDATE (June 26, 9:30 a.m.): Police have identified the man who died as the result of a medical event before a rollover crash.
Leroy Stough, 76, appeared to have had a medical event just prior to the crash, but his death was not due to the crash, according to the York County Coroner.
The coroner noted that both Stough and his passenger were both wearing seatbelts.
(June 26, 4:10 a.m.): A woman is injured and a man is dead after the coroner believes he suffered a medical event before crashing a vehicle.
The crash occurred on June 25 around 3:05 p.m. on Route 74 between Old Carlisle Road and Conewago Road in Dover Township, according to the York County Coroner’s release.
Upon arrival, police found that the crash was a single vehicle that had rolled over.
Emergency personnel transported a female passenger to an area hospital for treatment, but there is no word on her condition at this time.
The man who was driving the vehicle died at the scene of the crash, but the coroner believes the death was due to a medical event.
There will be no autopsy, and the man will be identified pending notification of next of kin.
