WASHINGTON– A 15-year veteran has hung up his skates.

The Washington Capitals announced that D Brooks Orpik retired after 15 seasons:

Orpik, 38, played in 1,035 regular season games with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals.

For his career, Orpik finished with 194 career points and a plus/minus of +32.

Most importantly, Orpik won a cup with both the Penguins and Capitals.
