YORK COUNTY, Pa.-- A woman was injured and two men have been arrested after a shooting in York city.
On July 12 around 3:00 a.m., police responded to a reported shooting in the 500 block of South Queen Street.
Upon arrival, police learned that a female victim had arrived at York Hospital with a gunshot wound to her right thigh.
The victim told police she was with friends at a home on South Queen Street when she heard shots being fired and glass breaking.
It was then that the victim realized she had been struck by a bullet, and had a friend drive her to York Hospital for treatment. Her injuries are not considered to be life threatening.
The victim told police she believed the shots came from outside, but was unsure of a motive or suspect.
While investigating the shooting, police spoke with two men who were present at the time of the shooting.
Both Mark Thomas, 34, and Keith Gaines, 32, of York, became uncooperative with police.
A search warrant was obtained for the house where the incident took place, and a police located a loaded .40 caliber Ruger that had been reported stolen.
Thomas and Gaines were both arrested for crimes related to the firearm.
Police are still investigating the shooting.
