UPDATE (Sept. 4, 10:50 a.m.): The victim has been identified as Samuel Miller, of Enola, according to the Cumberland County Coroner’s Office. Miller died of multiple traumatic injuries. The manner of death was ruled accidental.

YORK COUNTY, Pa. — UPDATE (September 4): A 27-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle.

According to police, the man was struck around 8:50 p.m. on September 3 in the 800 block of Route 15 Southbound in Carroll Township.

It is believed he was attempting to cross the roadway.

The man was pronounced dead at the hospital, and will be identified pending notification of next of kin.

The striking driver is cooperating with police, and the incident remains under investigation.

PREVIOUSLY: A pedestrian was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Carroll Township Tuesday, according to police.

The crash occurred in the 800 block of Route 15 at 8:50 p.m., police say.

Police remain on scene.

There’s no word on the pedestrian’s condition.
