DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. -- On Wednesday afternoon, crews hope to attempt to remove the plane that crash-landed in the Susquehanna River near Middletown, Dauphin County.

Anglin Aircraft Recovery Services, LLC in Clayton, Delaware confirms for FOX43 that a helicopter could attempt to recover the wreckage Wednesday afternoon depending on the weather.

"The only thing I'm worried about is the weather," said JJ Anglin, President of the company. "That it may be delayed again, that's my only concern," she added.

The small single-engine plane went into the Susquehanna River October 4th after landing short of a runway at Harrisburg International Airport (HIA), according to Scott Miller, a spokesperson for the airport. Two people survived the crash.

Anglin said she visited the site last week with the Londonderry Fire Co. in Middletown. Since then, she has been working to organize plans for the plane's removal.

Anglin would not comment on how much the removal will cost. Officials have said since the crash it is the owners responsibility to remove the wreckage. FOX43 has been told an insurance company is now involved.

Anglin said her crew will attach a rig to the aircraft and a helicopter will lift the wreckage from the water. Londonderry Fire Co. will once again give Anglin's team a ride to the site on the water.

Once removed, the plane will be dismantled and taken to an undisclosed location for the NTSB and FAA to begin their investigation into the cause of the crash.

Stay tuned to FOX43's Jamie Bittner today for updates on this developing story.
