HARRISBURG -- State lawmakers have introduced a number of bills that are being called "menstrual equality" legislation.
The bills would increase accessibility of menstrual products in public universities and schools.
One in five women have missed school due to lack of period products and supporters say menstrual products are a hygiene necessity and should be as readily available as toilet paper in restrooms.
