YORK COUNTY, Pa.-- Sending comforts of home to our troops overseas. That's the idea behind an upcoming event at The Cove restaurant in York.
The Cove is teaming up with The Crown Royal Purple Bag Project and hosting a 'build-a-bag' event on Veterans Day which is Monday, November 11.
At the event, people will get a chance to write a special note to the troops and stuff the bags with favorite treats and necessities from home.
Nathan Olver, a Veteran Marine Sergeant Combat Engineer and Suzi Hewitt, a managing partner at The Cove, stopped by FOX43 Morning News with more on how people can take part.
