Sesame Street puppeteer dies

CONNECTICUT —  Sesame Street puppeteer Caroll Spinney has died today, according to a tweet by Sesame Street.

Caroll Spinney was the puppeteer behind Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch.

The 85-year-old died in his Connecticut home after living with Dystonia, a movement disorder.

Caroll helped shape and define Sesame Street for fifty years.
