Ed Albert joined the FOX43 team in May 2018. Born in Pittsburgh, he moved to south central Pennsylvania in 2015.
Ed oversees the station's sports properties, including sports story content, Nittany Game Week, and Hershey Bears broadcasts.
He has been the executive producer of the station's Hershey Bears productions since 2021. In 2023, Ed and the FOX43 Sports team were honored with the American Hockey League's prestigious James H. Ellery Memorial Award. The award is presented by the league annually in recognition of outstanding media coverage of the AHL.
Before coming to FOX43, Ed spend more than 3 years as a newscast producer and digital assignment editor with WHTM. Prior to that, he worked as a newscast producer for KDKA in Pittsburgh, WJAC in Johnstown, Pa., and WPXI in Pittsburgh.
Away from the newsroom, Ed enjoys spending time with his wife Chelsey and dog Charlie, taking his camper on trips across Pennsylvania, and a good local craft beer.
