HARRISBURG, Pa. — ArtsFest is back for its 56th year in Harrisburg, bringing over 150 vendors selling handcrafted works across sixteen categories to Riverfront Park.
The annual event brings hundreds of artisans and craftsmen nationwide to the state's capital.
“I love my customers here! Like I love them, I could name them all,” said the owner of Tying Tribes, Jenna Hirt.
Hirt has been part of ArtsFest for more than 15 years.
She designs jewelry made from materials collected from around the world, including Morocco and Brazil.
“The first year I did the show, my customers just kept in touch, and we’ve just had this repour where every year I come back, they build, each year they have another one, another one, and another one," Hirt said. "They have them going up and down their ankles and arms and it’s just amazing, so I have a lot of collectors here actually,”
A portion of her proceeds are used to provide skateboards to people overseas.
From handmade clothes to paintings, to pictures to sculptures, there’s no limit to what you can find.
You may even find something you didn’t know you were looking for.
“I like this book. It was kind of steampunk and all the paper in it was handmade,” said Chris Grabiec from Dillsburg.
Grabiec also says his family makes ArtsFest a yearly activity.
