The Lancaster Nutcracker Ballet celebrates 30 years of performances

For this special production, the show welcomes back Ukrainian dancers who performed throughout its three-decade run.

LANCASTER, Pa. — The Lancaster Nutcracker Ballet, sponsored by The Viktor Yeliohin International Ballet Academy, is celebrating 30 years of shows on Friday night.

Since 1993, Viktor Yeliohin has put on the show at the High Performing Arts Center Lancaster Mennonite School. To celebrate its three-decade run, he's inviting back 11 Ukrainian dancers who performed in past productions.

These performers will dance along with American and local student ballerinas.

Portions of the the proceeds will be donated to other Ukrainian dancers who were affected by the ongoing war against Russia.

Performances will be held Friday, Dec. 1 at 6:30 p.m., two performances Saturday, Dec. 2 at 1 and 6 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. 

Tickets are $40 for general seating and $27 for balcony seating. Senior, veteran and student tickets for the main floor are discounted at $35. Tickets may be purchased at the door.
