Savoy Truffle makes breakfast extra special during Lancaster City Restaurant Week

Savoy Truffle is upping the Lancaster City Restaurant Week ante with a competition between breakfast burritos.

LANCASTER, Pa. — Eateries in Lancaster are cooking up their very best this week for Lancaster City Restaurant Week.

Savoy Truffle is hitting the griddle hard with their breakfast creations. And to up the stakes even more, the most popular burrito at the end of the week will earn a permanent spot on Savoy's menu.

"We thought it would be a really fun idea to let everybody else choose our next breakfast menu item," Brittnie Jones, owner, said. "We added a breakfast burrito earlier this year, and it has been a hit. So we thought, why not expand on it?"

The Western Brekkie Burrito is stuffed with three eggs, tots, shredded cheese, ham, peppers, onions and tot sauce.

The Cha Cha Chorizo Burrito is filled with three eggs, tots, shredded cheese, chorizo, black beans, avocado spread and pico.

"Vote with your dollars," Jones said. "You come in, you buy it, whichever one sells the most is getting added to the menu."

Those who want to cast their vote for the winning burrito can visit Savoy Truffle at 398 Harrisburg Ave., Suite 250 in Lancaster or order online. Hungry customers can also keep up with the eatery's ever-changing creations on its Facebook and Instagram.

Savoy Truffle is open from 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. from Monday - Friday, with extended hours from 6 - 10 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. It is also open weekends from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
