CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — If you’re looking to enjoy some cool and unique events this weekend, Franklin County has you covered!
Chambersburg IceFest is back for its 22nd year with several new and returning events. IceFest kicked off Thursday and will go until Sunday, Jan. 28.
“It feels great to be back,” said Sam Thrush, president of Downtown Chambersburg Inc. “We actually had to say we are sold out of IceFest sponsors back in November because so many wanted to sponsor the event, so we’re grateful to them."
Throughout the weekend there will be several events, including glass blowing, escape rooms, food trucks and more. Brittany Shade, coordinator with Downtown Chambersburg Business Council, says the weather makes it tricky, but there are indoor and outdoor events for people to enjoy.
“We were able to bring in an escape room from Brain Drain Escapes, which is a local veteran-owned business, and it’s a new attraction that we’re excited to bring in this year,” said Shade.
