Discover the magic at Enchanted Fairy Festival in York County

The magical event celebrates fall, fairies and imagination. Guests are encouraged to be a part of the event by participating activities like a fairy search.

YORK COUNTY, Pa. — Wings are rustling all over York County as fairies prepare to flock to Springettsbury Township Park this weekend for the Enchanted Fairy Festival.

The magical event celebrates fall, fairies and imagination. Guests are encouraged to be a part of the event by participating in demonstrations and activities like a fairy search and find or learning a new craft from one of the many vendors.

The family friendly weekend of entertainment first began nearly 35 years ago in 1990 as the “May Day Fairie Festival." The original fest eventually outgrew its venue and moved to Maryland, but that didn't stop one local mom from reimagining the event to bring it back to York County in 2019.

Guests are encouraged to dress up in their best fairy attire, but it is not a requirement.

Springettsbury Township’s Fall Festival takes place in the park over the same weekend, and organizers for both events worked together to bring the Bounce Zone to life. This area will feature huge bounce houses, a crafting station, hay jump and more.

In addition to the Bounce Zone, there are three other Enchanted Lands at the Fairy Festival:

  • Fairy Land: Dungeon and Dragons game area, vendor marketplace, slime making station, petting zoo, etc.
  • Pirate Cove: Foam party, escape room, mermaid hangout, etc.
  • Wonderland: Mad Hatter Tea Party (tickets sold separately), glow party and tent, wacky mirrors, etc.

The Enchanted Fairy Festival will take place on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 22 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. at Springettsbury Township Park, located at 1501 Mount Zion Rd. in York.

Tickets can be bought online in advance or purchased with cash at the Mushroom Ticket Booth at the festival. Parking is free. The festival will be in a cordoned part of the park; the rest of the park will remain free and open to the public during the event.
