HARRISBURG, Pa. — Today the Harrisburg Book Festival returns to the city for its 12th year.
It’s a five-day event that celebrates the power of literature while promoting a culture of reading.
There will be thousands of books on display both inside and outside of the Midtown Scholar Bookstore.
The event features an outdoor tent sale, award-winning authors and a day dedicated to children’s books.
The Outdoor Tent Sale will take place on Verbeke Street from 3rd Street to Susquehanna Street from today through Sunday, Oct. 13. The sale will feature over 30,000 used books at bargain prices across all genres. Hours of the sale are 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. each day.
