LEWISBERRY, Pa. — Roundtop Mountain Resort is preparing to host its 7th annual Ullr Fest next weekend to kick off winter.
Ullr Fest is a celebration of winter that calls on the Norse god Ullr to provide a lot of snow.
"The more people that come out and cheer and get around the bonfire, the better winter we'll have," Ted McDowell, Roundtop Mountain Resort's general manager, said. "So come on out and help us have a big winter."
The festival will feature live music, free paintball, pocket bacon and photo opportunities on a snowcat. There will also be a Viking helmet contest for adults and kids. The adult winner will receive a $100 Tröegs gift card, and the child winner will get a gift certificate for tubing at Roundtop.
"It's a great event for the whole community to come out and have a good time," McDowell said. "Everyone loves a big bonfire."
The party will kick off at 4 p.m. on Dec. 2, with the bonfire being lit at 6 p.m. Admission is free. Roundtop is located at 925 Roundtop Rd. in Lewisberry.
