ADAMS COUNTY, Pennsylvania — If you hear the extra rumbles and revving engines of motorcycles, it's because Gettysburg Bike Week is back for another year!
Happening at the Allstar Family Fun and Events Complex, thousands of motorcyclists will gather for stunt shows, games, music, vendors and more.
The event is something that's been put on here in Gettysburg for more than 20 years.
Kelly Shue, the event coordinator, explained this event is all about family.
"This is like a really big family reunion, it brings a lot of people together every year," Shue explained.
Jene "Smiley" Gilchrist, one of the emcees of the event, shared people from all over the country and even the world visit during Gettysburg Bike Week.
"When you're on a motorcycle, you can't focus on anything but the road and enjoying life," Gilchrist said.
And you don't even need a motorcycle to attend the event!
"Anyone is welcome to come here and it's also a kid friendly event. Kids 12-and-under are free," Shue said.
National bands will be performing, there will be a tattoo contest, the 2024 Poker Run, and even helicopter rides.
"It's probably one of the biggest parties in Pennsylvania that happens every year," Gilchrist said.
Gates open for the event at 10 a.m. on Thursday.
