YORK COUNTY, Pa. — An 80s pop star will make a special appearance in York County this weekend to help give back to children.
Tiffany, known for her song "I Think We're Alone Now," will perform at a concert this weekend that helps to give back to hospitals within the Children's Miracle Network.
The Given's Gathering Caring Concert Series kicks off in Red Lion on Sunday, and Tiffany won't be the only VIP in attendance.
Guests will also get a chance to meet some of the "miracle kids" who have received life-saving care from CMN.
Tiffany has been taking part in similar charities for nearly 10 years, and she says although she enjoys performing, it's spending time with the kids that makes the experience so special.
"They just keep on going despite the challenges, despite the pain, despite some of the things they can't participate in, and they don't let that stop them," the pop star said. "They're there in the moment, living their best life, and they really do get infused with the support and love that hopefully we bring."
To help with more fundraising efforts, bags of Given's Coffee, named after the organizer's son, will also be on sale. Each bag features a unique miracle story and a picture or drawing from a "miracle kid."
The charity concert takes place on April 7 at Double Barrel Roadhouse, located at 3290 Cape Horn Rd. in Red Lion. Doors open at 5 p.m., and the concert starts at 7 p.m.
Tickets for the event, including an option for a meet-and-greet with Tiffany, are available online.
