Hersheypark was voted one of the nation's best amusement parks in the 2024 USA TODAY 10 Best Readers Choice Awards, park officials said Wednesday.
The park is ranked No. 4 in this year's awards, up two spots from last year, officials said.
In addition to making USA TODAY'S list of top 10 amusement parks, Hersheypark also won three other honors in the USA TODAY awards.
The park’s new hybrid coaster, full-service restaurant, bar and patio, and official resort also received top 10 rankings, park officials said.
This year's honors include:
- Best Theme Park: Hersheypark ranked #4, up two spots from 2023 and the highest ranking to date
- Best Theme Park Hotel: The Hotel Hershey ranked #1 for the second straight year
- Best Theme Park Restaurant: The Chocolatier ranked #2 for the second consecutive year
- Best Roller Coaster: Wildcat’s Revenge at Hersheypark ranked #4, its first time in this category
Hersheypark is open for Spring Weekends on Fridays through Sundays through May 19. Daily operations begin May 23, with The Boardwalk At Hersheypark water park opening on May 25 through Labor Day.
Coaster fans can enjoy new ride experiences on two iconic coasters -- Skyrush and Comet -- plus the first-ever spring rides on the award-winning Wildcat’s Revenge. The first hybrid manufactured by Rocky Mountain Construction in Pennsylvania opened to the public last summer.
Guests looking for a delicious bite to eat can dine at The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio, with reservations available for lunch and dinner every day. An all-new seasonal menu includes a rib basket, flatbread, pasta dish, cocktails and more.
The Hotel Hershey's newest, most premium accommodation, The Villas at the Hotel Hershey, open on Memorial Day Weekend. The Hotel’s 10 existing Woodside Cottages with 48 rooms will be reimagined with refreshed furnishings, unmatched amenities, an all-new exclusive concierge lounge, and the sweetest Hersheypark experiences.
The expansion marks the second-largest investment in the 90-year history of Forbes Four-Star, AAA Four-Diamond Hotel. The Villas will open in two phases with the highest level of guest service and accommodations at The Hotel Hershey, adding nine new Villas with 50 luxury rooms by 2025.
