PHILADELPHIA — Editor's note: The above video is from Oct. 14.
The Eagles are once again airing out their dirty laundry.
And no, this time it's not frustrations over the NFL's back-and-forth stance on the team's legendary "brotherly shove," or "tush push."
Birds greats Jason Kelce, Fletcher Cox and Jordan Mailata instead changed up the lyrics of a chant popular with Philly sports fans for a Tide commercial, singing, "no one likes us, no one likes us, no one likes us, we don't care! We're the pile of your laundry and you've got no clothes to wear," from the middle of a stack of laundry.
The rallying cry against dirty laundry is an adaptation of a sports chant that was first used by fans of Millwall FC back in the 1970s, according to Bleacher Report.
The Philadelphia Union popularized the chant for the city during soccer games. In true Philly fashion, fans changed the lyrics to remove references to Millwall's stadium and convey more, ahem, explicit support for the city's soccer team.
Kelce has been a driving force behind popularizing the song for Philadelphia as a whole. He can be seen in the clip above leading the crowd in the chant at a Union game, and he ended his Super Bowl LII victory speech in Philadelphia by screaming the lyrics at an excited gaggle of parade-goers.
The chant, as it is now sung in Philadelphia, goes like this:
No one likes us,
No one likes us,
No one likes us,
We don't care!
We're from Philly,
****ing Philly,
No one likes us,
We don't care!
Fitting lyrics for a city that is known for its high-energy sports fanatics.
