READING, Pa. — If you're a fan of late 20th century holiday movie classics, there are two upcoming, close-to-home events you won't want to miss.
Fans of the holiday classics "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" and "Home Alone" will have the chance to meet the films' stars, Chevy Chase and Macaulay Culkin, at two special screenings at the Santander Performing Arts Center in Reading.
On Nov. 22, Chase and his wife, Jayni, will visit the Berks County venue for a special screening of the 1989 classic "Christmas Vacation," which is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year.
On Dec. 12, Culkin, the star of "Home Alone," will visit the Santander Center for a special screening of the film that made him a household name in 1990.
Both Chase and Culkin will attend screenings of the movies, followed by moderated interviews and Q&A sessions with fans.
The screening of "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" is set for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22. Tickets are available here.
"Chevy and Jayni will share their behind-the-scenes stories and personal anecdotes about the making of this beloved movie that has become a Christmas tradition," organizers said. "But the laughter doesn't stop there! We'll also be taking questions from the audience, giving you the chance to have your questions answered and hear firsthand from Chevy about his storied career including SNL, Caddyshack and so much more."
"Home Alone: A Nostalgic Night with Macaulay Culkin" will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12.
"Relive the iconic scenes and heartwarming moments from 'Home Alone' on the big screen, and then dive deep into the behind-the-scenes stories and insights with Macaulay Culkin himself," organizers said. "Hear about his experiences on set, his favorite memories from filming, and his take on why this movie has become such a beloved holiday classic."
A limited number of VIP tickets will be available for both event, according to organizers. The VIP experience includes a personal post-show photo opportunity with both stars.
