GRANTVILLE, Pa. — Singer Bret Michaels, a Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Famer and favorite son of Mechanicsburg, will bring the party to the Hollywood Casino on Saturday, September 14.
The Poison frontman made the announcement at a virtual press event on Monday.
Michaels' Parti-Gras 2.0 End of Summer Super Party will build on the momentum of last year's inaugural Parti-Gras tour. He'll be joined on stage for the first time ever by Dee Snider of Twisted Sister and Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray, plus special guests Great White, Dave Bray and more hometown surprise guests.
Earlier this year, Michaels announced plans to take an extended break in 2025 to focus on addressing some medical issues, so this could be the last time local music fans get a chance to see him on stage for a while.
Known for honoring his three generations of fans, veterans and all those who serve, Michaels said this year's event will focus on celebrating all things Central Pennsylvania, including local musicians, hometown heroes and veteran appreciation.
"Whether he’s selling out stadiums or headlining hit TV shows, Michaels consistently brings his iconic energy and star power to over three generations of loyal fans," Hollywood Casino said in a press release. "As one of music’s most legendary singers and songwriters, both with Poison and his solo band, Michaels counts Every Rose Has Its Thorn, Go That Far (Rock of Love theme) & Nothing But A Good Time as part of his robust catalog of mega-hits."
On television, Michaels’ shows include his #1 family show Life As I Know It, the record-breaking enduring hit Rock of Love with Bret Michaels and a recent turn as the audience-favorite Bandana Banana in Fox’s hit The Masked Singer.
As a well-known creative entrepreneur, Michaels took his Celebrity Apprentice-winning Trop-A-Rocka Iced Tea and turned it into a bestselling global product for Snapple. He still finds time to give back through his Life Rocks Foundation which supports a myriad of charities & will make a healthy donation in Central PA.
Most importantly, Michaels looks forward to nothing but a good time on Saturday, September 14.
"To all my fellow Penn State fans, there is no home game that day, so we’ll see you at the Parti Gras!” he joked at his concert announcement.
Tickets for Parti-Gras 2.0 go on sale Thursday at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.
