HARRISBURG, Pa. — In Harrisburg's Strawberry Square, Imaginary Friends, a new puppet theatre, will open its doors this Saturday, June 1.
The 60-person theatre will showcase a variety of performances geared to young children and their families.
"We're used to doing six, seven days a week, multiple shows a day and when we get into those trenches, I think that's when the show starts popping and clicking. We're really excited to do that," said Bill Kassay with the Imaginary Friends Puppet Theatre.
Parents might get a kick out of the shows as well as the theatre's early 90s inspired décor that is reminiscent of the "Nickelodeon era."
Shows are generally 15 to 25 minutes long and tickets start at $10. According to Imaginary Friends showrunners, shows will run throughout the summer.
The theatre's first show is called "Strawberry Square Gets New Neighbors" and will teach lessons about acceptance and friendship.
