HARRISBURG, Pa. — 94-year-old Elvira Hudson, also known as “Mickey” has four children, nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
This Mother’s Day, she’s sharing how much her big family means to her, and some advice for mothers.
“I was an only child and then later on I had four children…I don’t know what I’d do if I didn’t have them,” said Hudson.
Elvira’s two daughters tell FOX43 that everything they learned from their mom has been passed down to their children as well. Hudson was a stay-at-home mom while their father worked, but Patt Snively, Hudson’s daughter, said their mother was always there for them no matter what.
“She did everything for us, and has always been there for us, no matter how good [or] how bad we were, she was just always there and has just been wonderful,” said Snively.
As the holiday approaches, Hudson said she wanted to stress the importance of surrounding yourself with family and making time for your loved ones. She also said that self-care is important.
“Stay healthy…be happy.. and certainly love your family,” said Hudson.
