CAMP HILL, Pa. — The Camp Hill Police Department has come up with a novel way to raise money to support its Community Outreach K-9 program.
The Cumberland County police department announced it is selling custom patches of its Community Outreach K-9, Detective Gibbs.
The K-9 officer and his human partner, Camp Hill School Resource Officer Joe Capers, help bring smiles to the faces of children and adults throughout the day as part of their community outreach efforts.
The custom patches are $10 each, and all proceeds go directly to the care and upkeep of Detective Gibbs and the community outreach K-9 program, the police department said.
The Honor #25 Foundation donated the initial fee to obtain Detective Gibbs and this partnership is commemorated on the patch.
The patches are available at the Camp Hill Police Department front desk from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Cash, check or money order are accepted.
Patches can be also mailed via USPS by sending a Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope to the Camp Hill Police Department, 2199 Walnut Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011 Attn: Patch Sale along with payment.
