A dog found close to death inside an Amazon box is officially on the road to recovery!
The dog, nicknamed GI Joe, is officially out of the hospital and in a foster home! According to a Facebook post by Speranza Animal Rescue, GI Joe will temporarily live alongside two canine brothers, one who is blind like he is.
"His foster momma is retired and also has experience with epileptic dogs!" Officials with the Facebook page wrote. "Sounds like the perfect situation for our sweet, sweet boy."
Pictured were also shared of GI Joe as he settled in for the night.
GI Joe was found, severely malnourished and unconscious, inside an Amazon box in Mechanicsburg. He was suffering from seizures, covered in feces and urine and his pupils would not respond to light.
Shortly after receiving treatment, GI Joe began eating and walking on his own.
