HARRISBURG, Pa. — Alpacas are taking over Harrisburg on Friday.
The Eastern Alpaca Jamboree will be held inside the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center. The show will feature over 350 alpacas represented by over 80 farms across 18 states.
Alpacas will be featured in the show ring competition, comprised of classes judging conformation and fleece quality in many categories for both Suri and Huacaya alpacas.
Vendors and farm displays will sell the latest alpaca fashions and hand-crafted items including clothing, home goods made from alpaca fiber, alpaca themed clothing, alpaca art, alpaca tack products, plush animals and more.
The show is a combination of the North American Alpaca Show, Empire Alpaca Association Spring Show and PAOBA Breeders Showcase.
Show hours are:
- Friday, April 5: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Saturday, April 6: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Sunday, April 7: 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Admission is free.
