CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. — Police in Silver Spring Township, Cumberland County are looking for more information after officers found a wounded dog early Monday morning.
According to the Silver Spring Township Police Department, the male dog was found around 3:30 a.m. on Nov. 11. The dog was on Route 114 by the Park and Ride.
Officers say he appeared to be in poor health and emaciated. The dog also had open wounds and very long nails. They say he has an old flea collar or something similar around his neck.
Police believe the dog had been outside for a long period of time. Officers did not find a microchip and took him to Shores Veterinary Emergency Center in Harrisburg. Police say the dog will eventually go to the Humane Society.
