YORK, Pa. — If you need a little help getting in the Halloween spirit, there are a ton of awesome events planned across central Pennsylvania.
The 73rd York Halloween Parade will be held this Sunday, Oct. 29. The fun kicks off at 2 p.m. at the York Fairgrounds. This year's theme is "Written in Blood." Marchers are encouraged to design their ideas around their favorite spooky pieces of literature.
If you’re looking to get active, Fleet Feet Mechanicsburg is hosting the Harrisburg Halloween Run. Racers are invited to run the 10k course in costume for a chance to win a Fleet Feet gift card. They can also bring a decorated pumpkin when they pick up their registration packet. Those pumpkins will be displayed along the course and could win them a gift card. That race is Saturday, Oct. 28.
In Columbia, Lancaster County, you can party with all the ghouls and goblins at Locust Street Park for the Movers and Shakers Halloween Party in the Park, Saturday, from 3 p.m.-7 p.m.. There will be vendors, candy, trick-or-treating and a free costume contest.
Last but not least, we have one for adults. The Rocky Horror Picture Show will be playing Saturday at 9 p.m. at the Capitol Theatre Center in Chambersburg. The popular, 1975 horror musical comedy is an interactive experience with Participation Prop Bags being sold on a first come, first served basis. Remember, this film is rated “R.”
