YORK, Pa. — Restaurant Week York is in full swing, and Archetype Pizza is busy slinging dough to keep up.
The eatery serves a variety of pizzeria fair, from the pies themselves to wings and sandwiches. It has even expanded its menu to offer breakfast during Restaurant Week.
Philip Given, co-founder of the restaurant, says the eatery's theme this week is "Childhood Favorites."
"Our menu is designed to look like an old-school cafeteria menu," he said. "So everything we're doing is a spin on a classic favorite."
Archetype's Restaurant Week specials include:
- Wafflewich: Half waffle, fried chicken, bacon, pimento, fried egg, maple mayo
- Cold cheese pizza: Crisp crust, bright sauce, cold mozzarella cheese added after baking. Ohio-Valley style. Spice it up with banana peppers, pepperoni and hot cherry pepper spread.
- Coney plate: All-beef dog, Cincinnati chili, fancy cheddar, split top roll, curly fries
Archetype Pizza is located at 33 W. Market St. in York's downtown area. It will serve breakfast from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. during Restaurant Week York. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. on weekdays, 4 - 10 p.m. on Saturday and 4 - 9 p.m. on Sunday.
The specials will be available until Feb. 25.
