Coffin Bar opens in Lancaster County

The Coffin Bar, opening on West Lemon Street in Lancaster on Friday, is owned and operated by the same group that runs Spring House Brewing Company.

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — A bar fit for the Halloween season has opened in Lancaster County.

The Coffin Bar opened on West Lemon Street in Lancaster on Friday and is owned and operated by the same group that runs Spring House Brewing Company.

The team says that the name comes from the shape of the bar, which was in the original building.

After having the name, the owners said it was a team effort to figure out other ways to stick with the theme.

Scott Richardson, a co-owner of the bar, said, "We just want to bring energy. We want to bring something interesting and unique. We have a great food scene in Lancaster, and we just want to add to that. We're just happy to do something a little different."

The Coffin Bar features Spring House Brewing Company beers, hand-crafted cocktails, and an "eclectic" food menu.

The bar is open from Monday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until midnight and on Sundays from 11:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
