YORK, Pa. — The weather may be turning mild, but Lancaster Cupcake is making sure Easter will still be frosty—with icing, that is.
The bakery is preparing for Easter with special treats, including spring-themed two dozen mini cupcakes, a lemon sugar cookie layer cake, an Easter dozen and bunny-themed specialty cupcakes.
Alex Argento, marketing, wedding and event coordinator, and Skylar Robertson, HR and social media manager, say the cupcake shop has 12 flavors this week. Those interested in baked goods can either walk into the shop or order their favorites in advance via the website or app.
Strawberry Champagne is the shop's best selling cupcake, Argento and Robertson said. Guests can learn how to make their own cupcakes with classes right at the shop. For those unable to attend a class, Lancaster Cupcake offered the following advice for icing your sweet treat:
"Give [the icing bag] a lot of pressure, start from the outside and swirl in, and sometimes too it helps if you want to hold your cupcake with your other hand," Robertson said.
For those who are interested in attending a cupcake workshop or kids' story time, signups can be found online.
Lancaster Cupcake has two Lancaster locations: 260 Granite Run Dr. and 24 W. Orange St. The stores are open Monday - Saturday from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon - 6 p.m.
