CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. — In Cumberland County, Meal Madness has returned for its third year in a row.

The Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau hosts the area-wide Meal Madness Tournament, which officially kicked off on March 4.

The competition puts 64 restaurants across Cumberland County into a bracket to determine the "Best Restaurant in the Cumberland Valley." The restaurants are chosen for the bracket based on the number of page views their listing received on VisitCumberlandValley.com during 2023 and TripAdvisor ratings.

A new addition year includes four wildcard spots- one for each region- made it into the final 64 based on the number of Facebook comments they received. The wildcard spots went to Eclipse Gaming Room (downtown Carlisle), Anile Ristorante & Pizzeria (Boiling Springs), Luna Italian Cuisine (Mechanicsburg) and Aura Modern Mediterranean (Camp Hill)

Last year, The Hamilton Restaurant in Carlisle took the crown. In 2022, Valley Bistro in Enola beat out the competition.

Votes will take place nearly every day until a winner is determined on March 29.
