HERSHEY, Pa. — Tröegs Independent Brewing on Monday announced the return of Perpetual Giving, a partnership with Feeding Pennsylvania established to raise funding and awareness for local food pantries.
Returning for its second year, this annual campaign encourages Tröegs fans to “drink great beer and do great things” as part of the Hershey-based brewery’s Aletruism program.
Now through Dec. 31, the independent, family-owned brewery will donate a portion of proceeds from sales of Perpetual IPA – the best-selling craft beer in Pennsylvania – to Feeding Pennsylvania.
“The holiday season serves as a reminder of the real issue of food insecurity,” said Tröegs co-founding brother Chris Trogner. “We’re proud to partner with our amazing wholesalers to help Feeding Pennsylvania and local food pantries in our home state.”
In 2023, Tröegs donated more than $23,400 to Feeding Pennsylvania, whose network of food banks spans all sixty-seven counties and serves more than 1.5 million people annually. Every dollar generated provides approximately ten meals to help feed Pennsylvania’s food-insecure residents.
“We applaud Tröegs for prioritizing food insecurity in Pennsylvania and helping to end hunger across the state,” said Julie Bancroft, CEO, Feeding Pennsylvania. “This campaign exemplifies the ‘neighbors helping neighbors’ philosophy and will bolster resources for Feeding Pennsylvania’s food banks and its partner pantries and agencies.”
