YORK, Pa. — Wegmans is asking all customers to wear masks in stores according to a recent tweet.

The grocery store chain said that after reviewing CDC, state and local guidance they "strongly encourage all customers, regardless of vaccination status, to wear a mask while shopping with us."

Wegmans noted as well that all employees are now required to wear masks in stores.

In a statement on its website, Walgreens said all its employees must be fully vaccinated by Sept. 30.

The statement reads:

"Late last week, we announced that team members based in our U.S. support offices will be required to be fully vaccinated by September 30 with any of the vaccines available. Team members who work in these locations and who are unable to be vaccinated will need to enroll in a COVID-19 testing program.

"As a company committed to health and wellness, our highest priority is ensuring the health and safety of our team members, as well as our customers and patients – and we strongly encourage all of our team members to get fully vaccinated."
