ENOLA, Pa. — Twenty-nine local children with disabilities from the Capitol region received 24 adaptive bikes and four strollers from a local charity on Friday.
Variety - the Children's Charity donated the equipment at the CAIU in East Pennsboro Township, Cumberland County.
Their Bike Program provides Rifton adaptive and EZ Rider bikes and strollers for easy mobility and safety for children with special needs.
Their adaptive equipment program serves kids from 3 to 21 years old who have a documented mental, physical and/or sensory disability.
After today, the charity will officially have given 525 adaptive bikes, strollers and equipment to children in Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry counties.
Parents said that the equipment not only changes their lives, but gives them hope for the future.
