PENNSYLVANIA, USA — The New Year has officially begun, and with it comes new resolutions, new promises and new life.
Just two minutes after the world watched the ball drop in Times Square, WellSpan York Hospital ushered in its first baby of 2024.
Weighing in at 6 pounds and 8 ounces, Grayson Hayes Zornes was born to Casey Zornes as the first of a few babies born in the first minutes of 2024.
Both mother and son are in good health and were resting as the New Year prepared to welcome its first dawn.
Grayson was not the only contender for the first baby of the New Year at the hospital, as WellSpan York would welcome two more budding lives within the first hour of 2024.
Meanwhile, at 12:52 a.m., Cameron Renegade Paul became the first baby of the new year for Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center.
Cameron was born to Britni and Rich Paul of Lower Windsor Township and weighs 7 pounds and 1 ounce.
