Friends and couples have been exchanging tokens of affection on Valentine's Day for centuries, according to HISTORY.
Many organizations in central Pennsylvania will recognize the holiday in their own way with deals and events to honor love.
Here is a list of events and deals to celebrate Valentine's Day.

Deals
Applebee's: The chain crafted a "love affair in every glass" perfect for Valentine's Day. The Smoocho Sips come in several flavors--and shades of red and pink.
Baskin Robbins: For those craving an extra dose of sweetness on Valentine's Day, Baskin Robbins is offering Love Potion #31 as its Flavor of the Month, a combination of white chocolate and raspberry flavored ice creams with raspberry-filled chocolate flavored hearts, raspberry swirls and chocolate flavored chips. .
If the ice cream isn't love at first bite, guests can also try the heart-shaped Crazy for You Cake, covered in fudge accents and chocolate drips, an OREO Cookie and buttercream rosettes and the ability to be personalized with the guest’s favorite cake and ice cream flavors.
From Feb. 1 - 15, customers can also receive $3 off any cake purchase of $20 or more when ordering in the BR App or online with the promo code LOVE** at checkout.
Bonefish Grill: Couples are invited to a special Valentine's Day four-course "Prisoner of Love" wine pairing dinner on Feb. 7 at 6:30 p.m. Reservations can be made online.
Chik-fil-A: Participating restaurants will create heart-shaped trays of Chik-fil-A goodies until Feb. 24. Customers can choose between 30-count nuggets, 10-count Chick-n-Minis (during breakfast hours), 12 Chocolate Fudge Brownie halves or 6 Chocolate Chunk Cookies to fill their tray. The trays can be purchased online, in the app, in the drive thru and from third-party delivery services such as DoorDash.
Outback Steakhouse: From Feb. 9 - 14, guests can enjoy a four-course Valentine's Day meal for two. The meal starts with grilled shrimp, then diners can choose two signature side salads and entrees before ending the meal with cheesecake to share. Outback's Berry Passion 'Tini can be added on for an additional $7.
Events
Adams County
The kids can participate in this Valentine's Day event! Children ages 3 - 8 (with a caregiver) are invited to the market to enjoy Valentine's-themed stories, crafts and activities. The event will take place from 10 - 11 a.m. on Feb. 10.
Adams County Winery invites you to a wine and macaroon pairing on Saturday, Feb. 10. The pairings include: chocolate macaron paired with Raspberry Red or Harvest Blend, lemon macaron paired with Twisted Thicket or Turning Point and caramel macaron paired with Chardonnay or Goldie’s Apple Berry Bliss. Guests can choose either a dry or sweet pairing. Registration is required, but ticketholders can stop by the winery anytime from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. to enjoy their pairing.
Cumberland County
Creative Spark Arts will host a number of craft workshops with Valentine's Day themes in February. They include:
- Valentine Gnome Workshop: Feb. 9, 6:30 p.m.
- Heart Mosaic Workshop: Feb. 11, 1 p.m.
- Stained Glass Heart, Feb. 17, 1 p.m.

Dauphin County
The Vineyard at Hershey will host a class to teach guests how to create a permanent copper rose on Feb. 11 from 1 - 3 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at the link above.
This event at The Englewood celebrates friendship and sisterhood. Attendees will have the chance to craft a bouquet with Palmyra Green House and design their own jewelry with York Linked. "Girl dinner" and non-alcoholic drinks are included in the price of admission, and there will also be a cash bar. Tickets for the event on Feb. 13 from 6 - 9 p.m. can be purchased online.
Franklin County
The tea shop will host two Valentine's Day events:
- Valentine’s (or Galentine’s!) Paint Class & Dessert Tea Party
- Watercolor artist Seth Holmes will demonstrate how to paint a watercolor of two flamingos forming a heart based off a photo taken of the famous Franklin County flamingos, or guests can be inspired by something in the tea room and watercolor a one of a kind tea cup, tea pot or flower bouquet painting (or other subject matter of their choosing). Included in the evening is the dessert tea party, personalized instruction for creating your own watercolor masterpiece and all materials and art supplies.
- The class will be on Feb. 9 at 6 p.m.; tickets can be purchased here.
- Valentine’s Day Tea Party
- This tea party will include an endless pot of tea and a five-course Valentine’s themed menu featuring salad, soup, heart shaped scones, sandwiches/savories and dessert.
- Reservations are required for the party, which well be held on Feb. 14 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Those interested can call 717-765-8327 to book a table.
Juniata County
The Juniata Valley Winery will host an afternoon of cookie decorating fun for anyone to enjoy on Feb. 17. The class begins at 11:30 a.m. and will last approximately two hours. Each ticket includes a set of cookies, a glass of wine for each participant, light refreshments, supplies/tools, a sugar cookie and royal icing recipe to try at home and of course your finished cookies to take home and enjoy. Tickets must be purchased by Feb. 9.
Lancaster County
Unique Lancaster Experiences will host a Valentine's Day version of their popular food tour. All couples are welcome on this two-hour journey to downtown hotspots. Participants will get the chance to enjoy full-size samples, find out how well they know their partner's food preferences and win a prize.
The hosts assure those interested that anyone with dietary restrictions will still be able to enjoy every bite. Tickets can be purchased online for various times on Feb. 10, 13 and 14.
The horror attraction will open its Den of Darkness and Frightmare Asylum for a special one-night-only Valentine's Day celebration on Feb. 10. The parking lot opens at 5:30 p.m., and park gates open at 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online or at the attraction.
Decades will host a Valentine's Day ticketed event on Feb. 14, which will include unlimited arcade games, an elevated buffet and special drink package. Guests must be over 21 and show a valid ID to participate. Tickets can be purchased online; attendees may choose between a 5 - 8 p.m. or 6 - 9 p.m. timeslot.
The Melhorn Manor will host a Valentine's Day bash to celebrate love from 6 - 9 p.m. on Feb. 14. Tickets include a catered dinner, live music and photo booth. Guests must be 21 or older. Single and couples' tickets can be purchased online.
Lebanon County
Fairy godmothers and princesses including Cinderella and her dashing Prince Charming will host a Valentine's Day ball at the Hebron Banquet Hall from 11:30 - 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 10. Guests will have the chance to enjoy brunch, live music, dancing and games. Tickets can be purchased online; everyone over the age of 2 is required to have their own ticket.
Organizers with the Women's Shelter on Willow Street will host a ball at Calvary Chapel in Lebanon from 6:30 - 9 p.m. on Feb. 10 in the church sanctuary. Tickets are $10 per person or $20 per family and will be available at the door. Childcare will also be available from 6:30 - 8 p.m.; adults must register their children online in advance.
Perry County
Tangled Vines Winery welcomes guests to join them for a Valentine's Day dinner on Feb. 11 at 7 p.m. The meal will include two choices of entrée, salad, bread, dessert and a glass of wine Reservations must be made in advance; tickets can be purchased online.
The Winery at Hunters Valley offers guests five gourmet chocolates expertly paired with five wines. The event will be held the weekends of Feb. 3 - 4 and Feb. 10 - 11. Guests can choose between a sweet or dry wine flight and whether to enjoy their pairings at the winery or take them to go. Tickets can be purchased online.
York County
Graphic designer and artist Connie Higgins will guide guests through creating a wood painting with a crushed glass heart. All needed supplies is included with the cost of registration; tickets can be purchased online. No experience is needed, and all are welcome—not just couples. The event will take place on Feb. 14 from 6 - 8:30 p.m. Organizers ask that attendees do not bring outside food or drink, but both will be available for purchase.
