Get a morning jump at Ghouls and Grinds Coffee

Ghouls and Grinds Coffee in Hanover themes everything after the enchanting and the macabre, like bean names Booberry Cobbler and Ghoulishly Guatemalan.

HANOVER, Pa. — If your morning caffeine just isn't hitting the same way anymore, a Hanover café may be the perfect place to get a little extra jump.

Ghouls and Grinds Coffee is decked out in Halloween décor year-round. The shop themes everything after the enchanting and the macabre, from bean names like Booberry Cobbler and Ghoulishly Guatemalan to otherworldly, witchy decorations.

"Hanover has been a Halloween favorite," Horn said. "Everyone in Hanover loves Halloween. And it's something that Amber and I have been super into growing up, and it's just trying to do what you love. You know, everybody tells you to do what you love, so that's kind of what we do. I love coffee, love Halloween, so combine them, make it work."

Ghouls and Grinds' "spook"-tacular Halloween menu is on tap now. Visiting phantoms can enjoy drinks such as a Poison Apple Latte or a classic Caramel Pumpkin Macchiato.

"We let our cold brew steep for 24 hours, so it's got a nice, bold, bite-y bite to it," Martin Horn, partner, said.

The café also has a spell-binding ice cream available exclusively at Perrydell Farm and Dairy. Mummy is flavored with coconut coffee ice cream, shortbread cookies and a caramel swirl.

Any ghosts interested in haunting Ghouls and Grinds Coffee can find the spine-chilling mausoleum of caffeine at two locations in Hanover: 455 Carlisle Street and 701 3rd Street.

Specters can keep up with the café's latest mysteries on Instagram and Facebook.
