LANCASTER, Pa. — Thursday is National Pi Day.
The holiday is celebrated every year on March 14 because it corresponds with the first three digits of the mathematic constant, Pi: 3.14.
But people can celebrate even if math isn't their strength.
Many local bakeries are getting into the celebration with "pi's" of their own.
Lancaster Pie and Coffee in downtown Lancaster is not only celebrating National Pi Day, but also their one-year anniversary.
On Thursday, if people purchase any of their pies, they can be entered for a chance to win a free pie.
There are also many other ways to celebrate in south central Pennsylvania.
DiGiorno: Starting at midnight on March 14, anyone who orders a pizza for delivery that arrives harmed can upload a picture of their squashed pie to DiGiorno Pizza Rescue and receive a coupon for money off a DiGiorno pizza. The offer is available until April 11, or while supplies last.
