NEW FREEDOM, Pa. — This week's Furry Friend is Loki, brought to us by Animal Rescue Inc.
Loki is described as a fun dog who loves to play fetch, run around in the yard, and go for extra long walks. This pup loves to play with toys. His favorite is a Kong football.
And while he can be energetic at times, his handlers say it's mixed with a good dose of chill too.
While Loki was first waiting for his forever family at Animal Rescue Inc. in New Freedom, York County, Loki has spent the past four months living and training in Camp Hill with the HOPE program.
The HOPE program pairs dogs with carefully screened inmate handlers, where the dogs get to live and train with their handler. Loki has been a perfect fit in the program and is now the unofficial greeter for everyone, both people and pets, who comes to SCI Camp Hill. His handlers say he's been one of the best and most fun dogs they've gotten the opportunity to train.
Loki loves to meet new friends and would be a great addition to a family that already has a furry friend or two of their own. The rescue would prefer if his future family has a fenced in yard so he can freely run around.
If you're interested in adopting Loki, you can fill out an adoption application on Animal Rescue Inc.'s website.
If you're unable to adopt right now but still want to support the rescue, they are participating in Give Local York this week and collecting donations for their cause.
