Furry Friends with Dutton and Dawson, the dogs!

These two brothers have lots of energy and are looking for their forever families. They are available for adoption at Charlie's Crusaders Pet Rescue.

THOMASVILLE, Pa. — This week's Furry Friends are double the trouble!

We're featuring Dutton and Dawson, two puppies from Charlie's Crusaders Pet Rescue

While these two lab mixes are currently fostered together, they are looking for individual families to join where they can continue to learn and grow.

Abbey Hicks, an Animal Behaviorist with Charlie's Crusaders, has been working to help train the two for the past few months.

“They are polar opposites. Dawson is the lover and he’s also into chewing... Dutton likes to play and he’s very active. And he needs constant stimulation," Hicks told FOX43. “We think that they would be better off separated because of their energy. I think that it would be more successful for them to be apart.”

Dutton loves to chase balls in the back yard and can play all day long. He also loves run around with other dogs. Dawson enjoys playing out back, but also relaxing in the pool and cuddling up with his people.

The pair currently lives with other dogs and cats and would do well in a big family.

“I think they would be good with kids. I think that a family that is doing things, hiking, walking, going to the park, I think they would do really well," says Hicks.

If you are interested in adopting either Dutton or Dawson, you can fill out an adoption application on Charlie's Crusaders Pet Rescue's website. They are currently being fostered in Thomasville, York County.

You can also meet Dutton and Dawson in person in Lancaster on Sat., Sept. 21. They will be at Buchanan Park with the rescue for Puppy Mill Awareness Day between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
