ADAMS COUNTY, Pa. — By the end of this week, the Adams County SPCA will have dozens of cats and kittens looking for their forever home.
The shelter says on Facebook that "it's that time again" when they need help clearing out the rescue, which expects to soon receive an additional 20-25 cats and kittens in addition to the 15 or so already housed at the SPCA.
For a limited time, all approved applicants can take their new furry friend home for free. Before leaving the shelter, the pets will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, treated for fleas and ticks, vaccinated against rabies and distemper, de-wormed and tested for feline leukemia and AIDS.
Adoptions are by appointment only. Shelter staff recommend filling out and submitting an application to be pre-approved.
Available cats and kittens can be seen here. Anyone interested in taking a new furry friend home can fill out an application online. Cat and kitten adoptions are free from now through Oct. 5.
The Adams County SPCA says its website is live, meaning animals are removed from browsing once adopted.
