NEW FREEDOM, Pa. — This week’s Furry Friend is Bridget, brought to us by Animal Rescue Inc.
Bridget is a 7-year-old beagle mix who, while starting to show a little bit of gray, still loves to zoom around the backyard.
Teresa Fernandez, rescue coordinator at Animal Rescue Inc., says this gray fur makes her even cuter.
“When you see her, she’s a little gray. She’s only 7, but that’s fashionable now, so she’s a cutie," she said.
Fernandez says Bridget came to Animal Rescue Inc. after being rescued from a hoarding situation.
“So Bridget came from a big hoarding situation on the Eastern Shore of Maryland," Fernandez told FOX43. "We were able to take four of the beagles. One’s been adopted, and we’re hoping she’s next.”
Bridget is described as a chill and laid-back pup who has all the normal beagle traits.
“She’s got the beagle bay. She’s got her nose to the ground sniffing. She loves her treats," said Fernandez. "We gave her a bath out in the pool the other day, and she ran zoomies in the yard afterward. Just fun. Just a fun dog. A typical family dog.”
Bridget could fit into almost any home. She gets along with most dogs and would do great having some kids at home.
“It could be a family with kids, which would be great for her," said Fernandez. "It could be a couple. It could be an individual. She’s not one you’re going to take jogging, but definitely she likes to go for walks and play in the yard. Maybe even snuggle in bed with you!”
