LANCASTER, Pa. — This week's Furry Friend is Nilly, brought to us by Charlie's Crusaders Pet Rescue. Nilly is a 15-month-old lab and pit mix currently living with a foster family in Lancaster County.
Nilly's foster family describes her as a fun, loving and affectionate playmate.
They describe the perfect family for Nilly as one that will give her the time and space to feel safe and secure. Nilly can be a bit shy at first and sometimes barks when meeting new people; however, once she warms up, she's all tail wags and kisses. Nilly's foster family says she is extremely loyal to her people.
Nilly loves to go on walks and is good on a leash, though she can get excited if passing a squirrel or a rabbit. She's learning commands quickly, such as lay down and shake, and is a quick learner, especially if you have treats.
Nilly has two dog siblings at her foster home and enjoys playing with them in the backyard. She's even had a sleepover with a family that has a cat. Nilly was curious and did great with their interaction.
If you think you're the right family for Nilly, you can fill out an adoption application on Charlie's Crusaders Pet Rescue's website.
