YORK, Pa. — This week's Furry Friend is Pierogi, brought to us by the York County SPCA.
Pierogi is a white male pit bull terrier who is estimated to be around 3 years old. He was found as a stray in York City with another dog and brought to the SPCA.
While Pierogi has only been with the staff at the shelter for about a week, they already say he is a very sweet dog who loves attention.
If you're interested in adopting Pierogi, you can fill out an application on the York County SPCA's website. Or you can stop by the shelter during their public browsing hours, which run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
There are other ways to support the York County SPCA this summer as well, including participating in their Doggy Date Day, which will occur monthly through the rest of the year. These are days where community members can sign up and take an adoptable dog out of the shelter for an adventure. Whether it's a hike, drive for a pup cup, or taking them out to meet new people, it can be a day to do whatever you like and get a dog out of the shelter for some time.
The next Doggy Date Days will be Sunday, June 16; Sunday, July 14; and Sunday, August 11.
