NEW FREEDOM, Pa. — This week's Furry Friend is Rhett, brought to us by Animal Rescue Inc. located in New Freedom, York County. Rhett is a 5-year-old miniature poodle who came to the rescue in late February.
Prior to coming to the rescue, Rhett was living at a puppy mill where he was used for breeding. The mill surrendered Rhett to Animal Rescue Inc. so he can find a permanent family to live with.
Rhett is a bit skittish but is learning to be more confident. He likes to play with squeaky toys and go outside. He's also working on improving his leash walking skills with volunteers at the shelter.
And while Rhett enjoys meeting and interacting with people, he does not get along with other dogs and will need to be the only dog in his home.
If you're interested in adopting Rhett, you can fill out an application on Animal Rescue Inc.'s website and schedule a time to visit him.
