LANCASTER, Pa. — Our Furry Friend this week is Royce, like Rolls Royce!
He's an 8-month-old puppy brought to us by Charlie's Crusaders Pet Rescue.
His name is a nod to where he and his siblings were found.
“All of the dogs have car names, since they were found in a car. So his name is Royce like Rolls Royce. And he is the last remaining pup out of the litter and his mother. They all have homes and he’s still looking," said Lindsay Lever, Royce's foster mom.
Royce was rescued with his siblings from Mississippi and brought to Pennsylvania with Charlie’s Crusaders Pet Rescue. Lever says he’s been a great dog to foster.
“He’s very snuggly, as you can see here with me. He takes a little bit to warm up but he’s an amazing dog. Plays fetch, I’ve never had a dog that plays fetch and returns and he’ll do that all day long," she said.
Not only will Royce play fetch out back, but give him a pool and he’s jumping right in. His perfect family will need to have energy to match his.
“An active family would probably be ideal for him," Lever told FOX43. "He is a very busy little guy. He enjoys his walks. He loves swimming. He loves other dogs. If he had another dog sibling he would love life.”
Royce does well with kids and loves to snuggle up on the couch after a long day of playing. He's also doing well with crate training and learning commands.
