YORK, Pa. — This week's Furry Friend is Nina, the dog! Nina is just about 1 years old and is estimated to be an Australian Kelpie mixed breed dog.
Nina and her sister, Nova, were found as strays in a small Mississippi community. Charlie's Crusaders stepped up to rescue the two puppies and bring them to Pennsylvania to find their forever families.
Nina's heart is even bigger than her ears! She quickly warms up to her people and becomes their Velcro dog. She'll make a great companion. Nina's current foster family describes her as friendly, playful, and affectionate.
Nina does well in a home with other dogs and has even done well when briefly introduced to a cat.
Her future family needs to have a home with a fenced in yard so she can play and run freely. This pup is no couch potato, so her new family will need to be active and down to take her on adventures with them.
Nina is house trained with a doggie door and up to date on all her shots and is spayed.
She is currently being fostered in York.
If you're interested in adopting Nina, you can fill out an adoption application on Charlie's Crusaders Pet Rescue's website.
