HARRISBURG, Pa. — The Humane Society of Harrisburg is searching for support after 17 dogs were rescued from "deplorable conditions".
According to a Facebook post from the non-profit, 17 small dogs and puppies were found and rescued by a humane law officer. The animals were reportedly covered in their own excrement, were matted and required special attention.
Officials are searching for fosters, who play an essential role in providing the rescue dogs and puppies a safe, stress-free home environment to stay happy and healthy as they continue their journey towards adoption.
Donations are also appreciated, the officials with the Harrisburg Humane Society wrote, as they provide the dogs with needed care.
